Phrasal verb: TO BE OFF
El phrasal verb to be off se usa para decir estar de baja.
El susantivo time off significa una baja.
En inglés británico el phrasal verb to be off también significa irse.
Mira los diferentes usos del phrasal verb to be off en los ejemplos de abajo:
1. I am off work for three months with paternity leave.
Estoy de baja de paternidad durante tres meses.
2. We are taking time off together because of the new baby.
Nos estamos cogiendo unos días libres para estar con el nuevo bebé
3. I can’t discuss this with you any more - I’m off!
Ya no puedo hablar más contigo sobre este tema - ¡me voy!
4. The boy is taking time off from studying to help with his baby brother.
