English listening exercise on Smoking
For years we’ve been warned of the dangers of smoking and passive smoking through endless television campaigns and governmental initiatives. The video in this English listening exercise simply states the facts regarding the damage that smoking causes to our health, in the hope that it will help at least one smoker who watches it to quit the habit.
It seems almost strange when they talk about smoking in the office or public places, as since the smoking ban was introduced we no longer see this. I live in the hope that when my children grow up they will regards smoking in general as an equally strange habit, that firmly belongs to the olden days.
