1. They are there for you.
E.g. A true friend is someone who is always there for you, in the good times and the tough times.
2. To nurture a friendship
E.g. People change and friendships need nurturing.
3. To break up a friendship / relationship
E.g. Another thing that can break up a friendship is distance.
4. Keep in touch
E.g. It is easy to keep in touch with your true friends nowadays.
5. Jealousy
E.g. I think jealousy is the main reason why people find it hard to celebrate the success of their friends.
6. High paying job
E.g. A little bit of jealousy is normal when your friend gets a high paying job.
7. Show enthusiasm
E.g. True friends show enthusiasm when their friend has a good thing happen to them.
8. React Positively
E.g. A true friend will show enthusiasm and react positively to their good news and I think that 's important.
9. A friend in need is a friend indeed.
'A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed' is a proverb that refers to the importance and value of true friends in life and reveals that: ‘a friend is a true friend when they help their friend in need’.
10. Have a rough time / to pick someone up
E.g. When times are hard, your true friends are there for you, they pick you up, they make you happy, they make you laugh, they make you see that everything is going to be alright.
