In this first class we will be looking at a quote by Carrie Underwood, and discussing some questions based on vocabulary related to corporate responsibility. We also recommend that you take some time to study the common pronunciation problems and common mistakes that our students make.

TRANSITIONS
Transitions are words and phrases that provide a connection between ideas, sentences and paragraphs. Transitions help to make a piece of writing flow better. They can turn disconnected pieces of ideas into a unified whole and prevent a reader from getting lost in the reading.
Examples:
1. We have seen the movie twice, so we don't want to see it again.
2. I have been to many countries. For example, I have been to Russia, Canada, Mexico, and Spain.
3. We wanted to leave at 8:00. However, Mike arrived too late.
4. I need to wear reading glasses. Nevertheless, I hate how I look in them.
5. James is not feeling well. Therefore, he will not be here today.
