In this first class we will be looking at a quote by Andrew Brown on the effects of internet in our daily lives, and discussing some questions based on vocabulary related to the use of internet. We also recommend that you take some time to study the common pronunciation problems and common mistakes that our students make.

Questions to discuss with your teacher:
1.When did you first use the internet? What was your first impression of the internet?
2. How often do you use the internet? Hourly/ daily / weekly.

In this class we will be looking at questions and vocabulary related to the effects of internet addiction.
We also recommend you watch the video before your English class to be able to discuss it with your English teacher.
Questions to discuss with your teacher:
1. Do you think it is possible to be addicted to the internet? Why?
2. What area of the internet do people become addicted to, for example social media or online gambling?
Check your pronunciation of the vocabulary with your native English teacher, and discuss the questions below.

English grammar review
Too much / too many
We use the quantifiers much, many, a lot of, lots of to talk about quantities, amounts and degree.
Too much / Too many mean that you don't like the situation, for example, "there is too much food on my plate" means that you're not happy about it! Here's the simple rule...
A) TOO MUCH
Much is always used with an uncountable noun (like 'oil' or 'water').
B) TOO MANY
Many is always used with nouns that are countable (like 'table' or 'computer')
Examples:
1. Tokyo is very crowded, there are just too many people!
2. Some people just have too much money and too much time.
3. My city has too much traffic during rush hour.
4. Venice in summer has too many tourists that visit each year.
5. There are just too many cars on the roads.
